The Centralina is an automatic, 10-by-10, 'many-to-many', changeover manifold. It serves up to 10-hopper loaders from up to 10 sources.
- Saves time and errors by avoiding manual material pipe connections.
- Allows any hopper loader to get its material from any source.
- Small footprint (1mx1m) compared with similar manifolds.
- Reduced cost of installation and pipe-work when compared with 'many-to-one' manifolds.
- Total separation of materials with different destinations while passing through the manifold.
- Ø50 pipe and beaks for high capacity.
- Minimal impact on overall performance.
- Can be integrated into a totally automatic solution of raw material handling.
The centralina is built of two decks.
The bottom deck has 10 beaks in a circle. Each one of the beaks can move up and to the center. The beaks are connected via flexible tubes to the silo bins.
The top deck also has 10 beaks in a circle with a common center line. Each one of the beaks can move down and to the center. The beaks are connected via flexible tubes and material lines to the hopper loaders.
At any given time, one beak from the top deck can connect to one beak from the bottom deck by moving to the center. Thus, one of the hopper loaders can be connected to one of the sources. By using the same pump for all the hopper loaders of the same manifold, overall performance is not degraded. The mechanical structure of moving to the center and back makes it impossible for the manifold to make a wrong connection!
- Under manual control, choose the source number for each hopper using the thumbwheel switches. loader.
- With computer control, the computer sets the source numbers in a table inside the controller memory. This enables a totally automatic change of job.
